3 good and bad reasons about imperialism.

Helped

1. It helped get economies started. Bigger more prosperous countries were taking over smaller colonies and controling them which established trade which created an economy for that place. It also helped the economy of the controling country.

2.It helped with expansion. People from other parts of the world could travel to places in the world that they never would. They now had a reason  to because of the trading going on and the government control.

3. Imperialism also helped make people more civilized . It helped make places that weren't civilized more modern and more appealing.

Hurt

1.It caused a lot of rebellion. Some of the places that were being taken control of didn't agree and tried fix it themselves. It caused a lot of fighting with countries.

2.People became power hungry and tried to have control over as many places as they could. Sometimes they would do whatever it took to gain control of another territory.

3. It took away culture. When the British and French and all those people would take over a place they would often try and make the people in that place follow their beliefs and speak their language which got rid of the African culture.
